Granem working papers

The Granem working papers are intended to disseminate research carried out within the laboratory. However, research conducted outside this framework by laboratory members is also welcome.
The publication of these notebooks has two objectives :

  • to showcase Granem's research, highlighting its consistency, richness and quality,
  • to enable the early dissemination of the ideas, projects and work of the laboratory's members, and to encourage the subsequent publication of this work in leading academic journals.

These two objectives require both rapid decision-making regarding publication acceptance and rigorous peer review.
To reconcile these two objectives, the approach taken is not to systematically publish every paper submitted. The aim is to ensure a constructive process, so there will be an internal ‘anonymous’ review process (1 to 2 reviewers). The requirement is, of course, that this process should lead to an improvement in the paper. Another possible and acceptable avenue for improvement is presentation at a laboratory meeting. Once the review process is in place, a maximum period of one month for feedback to the author must be respected. Although reviewers will generally be members of the laboratory, external colleagues may sometimes be called upon to contribute additional resources and expertise.
